Cat Power is the stage name of Chan Marshall (born January 21, 1972, Atlanta), an American singer-songwriter who has released music since the mid-1990s. Her sound moves between indie rock, folk and soul, and albums such as Moon Pix (1998) and The Greatest (2006) have placed her among the most critically respected American artists of her generation. She records for Domino Recording Company and has released eleven studio albums, including the covers collection Covers (2022).
