Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir bring the In League With Satan Tour 2026 to Helsinki Ice Hall - two of black metal's biggest acts sharing the same stage.
Dimmu Borgir is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band formed in Oslo in 1993 by vocalist Shagrath, guitarist Silenoz and drummer Tjodalv. The band's name comes from a volcanic lava formation in Iceland and means 'dark cities' or 'dark fortresses' in Old Norse. Over eleven studio albums they built a reputation for combining extreme metal with full orchestral arrangements, and albums such as Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia (2001) and Death Cult Armageddon (2003) made them one of the genre's best-known acts worldwide.
Dimmu Borgir released their eleventh studio album Grand Serpent Rising on May 22, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records, their first album of original material since Eonian (2018).
The band announced the 'In League With Satan' co-headline European tour for October 2026, with Behemoth and Dark Funeral as support.
Dimmu Borgir announced a 10-date North American tour for August 2026, running from New York City to Los Angeles, with Hypocrisy, Suffocation and Hulder in support.
Guitarist Kjell Åge 'Damage' Karlsen joined Dimmu Borgir as the permanent replacement for longtime member Galder, making his live debut at Tons of Rock in Oslo on June 27, 2025.
Longtime guitarist Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen) played his final show with Dimmu Borgir on August 17, 2024 at Dynamo Metal Fest in Eindhoven, after announcing his departure to focus on Old Man's Child.
