Triptykon is a Swiss avant-garde extreme metal band from Zurich, founded in 2008 by Tom Gabriel Warrior (Thomas Gabriel Fischer) after the dissolution of Celtic Frost - the band he had led since the early 1980s through Hellhammer. Carrying that lineage forward, Triptykon pushes into heavier, doomier and more atmospheric territory, blending black, death and doom metal into a sound that is distinctly their own. Their debut album "Eparistera Daimones" (2010) and its follow-up "Melana Chasmata" (2014) both earned widespread critical acclaim, and a fourth studio album is in preparation for release via Century Media Records.
Triptykon announced limited cassette editions of their first two albums "Eparistera Daimones" and "Melana Chasmata" - the first time either has appeared on cassette.

Triptykon announced they are working on their fourth studio album, planned for release via Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment in 2025, and signed a new licensing agreement with the label on 1 June 2024.
