Johanna Kurkela (born 25 April 1985, Lumijoki) is a Finnish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose recording career began in 2004. She has released seven solo studio albums ranging from pop to contemporary folk, and is a member of the atmospheric trio Auri alongside Nightwish's Tuomas Holopainen and Troy Donockley. She also fronts the Tolkien-inspired symphonic project Eye of Melian, co-founded with Dutch composer-producer Martijn Westerholt (Delain).
Eye of Melian held their album release show for 'Forest of Forgetting' in Zwolle, Netherlands on 20 February 2026, kicking off the band's first-ever live tour.

Auri released their third studio album 'III - Candles & Beginnings' on 15 August 2025 via Nuclear Blast, and embarked on their first-ever live European tour.
