Samuli Casimir Edelmann (born 21 July 1968 in Pori) is a Finnish singer and actor whose career spans more than three decades. He graduated from the Theatre Academy of Finland in 1991 and quickly built parallel careers in film and pop music, earning three Emma awards - including Artist of the Year in 1994 and 2001. His catalogue ranges from melodic pop hits to the art-song Vaiheet albums, which set his father Toni Edelmann's compositions to texts by Goethe, Hesse and Shakespeare, and he has sold over half a million albums in Finland.
Samuli Edelmann and his daughter Venla Edelmann released the Christmas album 'Kun joulu on' on 28 November 2025, produced by Sampo Haapaniemi.
A 'Kun joulu on' Christmas concert tour with Venla Edelmann ran from 30 November (Helsinki Cathedral) to 22 December 2025 (Tampere Cathedral), covering ten cities.
Edelmann returned to live stages in summer 2025 with his early-career band Helsinki Sound Machine, performing songs not played live in years.
Edelmann released the new pop single 'Silmät' in May 2024, written by Hanna Johde, Mika Laakkonen and Vilma Lähteenmäki and produced by Janne Oinas, Leri Leskinen and Mika Laakkonen.
The single 'Jos me oltais järkevii' was released on digital platforms in March 2024.
