Mirva Karkinen (b. 1994) is a Helsinki-based author with a master's degree in literary studies and philosophy. Her debut novel Leviatan (Aviador 2026) tackles the position of women in contemporary society and the misogyny lurking beneath its surface, while making a case for empathy. She has previously published feminist writing, and her academic interests centre on literature, power and gender.
