About

Mobb Deep is a hip-hop duo from Queensbridge, Queens, New York, formed by Havoc and Prodigy in the early 1990s. Their 1995 album The Infamous set the tone for East Coast hardcore rap and is widely regarded as one of the genre's defining records. Prodigy died in June 2017 from complications of sickle-cell anemia, after which Havoc has continued performing and recording under the Mobb Deep name. The duo has sold over three million records across nine studio albums.
