About

Piirpauke was formed at the Pori Jazz festival in 1975 and has since ranged widely across world music traditions - flamenco, jazz, progressive rock, mbalax and Turkish music all feature in their sound. The band is one of the pioneers of Finnish world music, with a career spanning five decades.
