Marko Haavisto & Poutahaukat is a Finnish band formed in 1997, rooted in iskelmä, country and rock'n'roll. The group gained wide recognition when it appeared as the Salvation Army band in Aki Kaurismäki's Palme d'Or-winning film 'Mies vailla menneisyyttä' (2002), performing the hit 'Paha vaanii'. With thirteen albums to their name, they have toured Finland steadily for nearly three decades.
The band released their thirteenth album 'Elämään tarkoitusta' on 15 May 2026.
The band performed a live set at Ravintola Lippa in Helsinki on 30 April 2026, drawing from both the new album and older catalogue.
Several singles preceded the 2026 album, including 'Kevään valo' (2025), 'Kinkerit' (2025) and 'Elämään tarkoitusta' (2026).
The band released their twelfth album 'Onnentalo' on 15 March 2024, followed by a release tour.
