Tuomas Holopainen is a Finnish keyboardist and composer, best known as the founder and main songwriter of symphonic metal band Nightwish. He has written nearly all of the band's material since its formation in 1996. Alongside Nightwish, he is part of the project Auri with Johanna Kurkela and Troy Donockley.
