concert19:00Waltari - Time Machine 40 years
Waltari celebrates its 40th anniversary at Tavastia with three different line-ups from four decades. A musical journey from 1986 into the future.
Waltari is a Helsinki-based band founded in 1986 by vocalist and bassist Kärtsy Hatakka, whose music has always defied easy categorisation - metal, funk, rap, electronic and punk collide in the same song without apology. They broke through internationally in the mid-1990s with albums like So Fine! (with Joik group Angelit) and Big Bang, the latter reaching number 7 on the Finnish charts. Now in their fifth decade, the band released their thirteenth studio album, Nations' Neurosis, in May 2025.
Waltari released their thirteenth studio album Nations' Neurosis on 16 May 2025 via Metalville Records.
The band released the single 'Murder Plot' with a music video ahead of the Nations' Neurosis album.
Waltari announced a '30 Years of Big Bang' tour with dates in Joensuu, Oulu and Helsinki in September 2025, alongside European festival appearances.
Waltari performed at the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise for the first time in January 2024, sailing from Miami.
To mark the 30th anniversary of So Fine!, Waltari held a four-concert mini-tour in 2024.
