Zangoma is a Finnish-Zambian band from Tampere that set out to bring zamrock - the psychedelic funk-rock genre born in 1970s Zambia - into the present day. The lineup pairs Zambian vocalist Waina Kolomwe with guitarist Ville Salonen, bassist Riku Pirttiniemi and drummer Miikka Heikkinen, the latter two also known from Death Hawks. Their debut album 'Faka Mulilo' came out in January 2025 on Svart Records, drawing comparisons to the zamrock revival work of scene legends WITCH.
Zangoma released their debut album 'Faka Mulilo' on January 31, 2025 via Svart Records, available on multicolor, purple haze and black vinyl.

A second Zangoma album had already been fully written at the time of the debut release, informed by a trip to Zambia that Salonen and Kolomwe took in late 2023.
