Come Make Art Stuff! - Nonstop Activities on Weekdays Throughout Summer

Annantalo offers free art workshops on weekdays from 10:00 to 15:00 from 1.6 to 17.7.2026. Open art workshops are held in the Annantalo courtyard (in bad weather on the 2nd floor corridor).

Activities suit children under 8 years old with an adult, and older children can also participate without an adult. You can drop by anytime or stay longer. Annantalo's art educators lead the workshops, combining different art forms.

Art Stuff Themes

1.-5.6. 10:00-15:00 - Yay!
Is it a pony, a mustang, or a unicorn? Come make a horse mask and head out to the jumping course or relax in the pasture. In the workshop you can also draw horse pictures, and other horse-themed activities change daily. You can bring your own stick horse.

8.-12.6. 10:00-15:00 - Nature's Wonders
Can you paint with seaweed and coffee? What colour comes from saffron, where does blue pea flour come from? In the workshop, you paint with natural dyes every day with changing nature themes - plant colours and oil pastels on recycled paper. You can take your finished work home.

15.-18.6. 10:00-15:00 - The Rabbit and the Magician's Hat
The rabbit and the magician's hat await at Annantalo. The first two days (Mon-Tue) focus on three-dimensional expression by sculpting clay, later in the week (Wed-Thu) you learn charcoal drawing, where the image is created by removing and wiping away charcoal.

22.-26.6. and 29.6.-3.7. 10:00-15:00 - Hidden Treasure Trail
Have you ever used a magnifying glass or read a map? Annantalo has a hidden treasure trail where you can try tasks related to the treasure-hunting theme. The trail goes through the courtyard and ends indoors. Welcome in pairs or larger groups.

6.-10.7. 10:00-15:00 - Splashes and Drops
Splash splash - Annantalo's courtyard is flooded all week. Try painting flowing pictures, draw quick sketches and work up a sweat.

13.-17.7. 10:00-15:00 - Inflorescentia
In the flower art workshop you make your own paints from nature.
