Liisa Akimof & Yökerho - Pride at Espa

Liisa Akimof & Yökerho's concerts are talked-about, energetic, and full of surprises.

Akimof has said that new songs come to her head unexpectedly and unbidden. They will be heard on Espa's stage alongside Liisa Akimof & Yökerho's new album "Miten asiat oikeesti on?" released on 30 January.

The new album moves thematically through the world of objects and junk from the ice age to the present day. Specialty coffee, electric saunas, and protein bend into pop lyrics, building inspections included. Musically, the album is an unapologetic mix of rock, disco, and jazz.

Yökerho features Mikko Siltanen (bass), Pekka Tuomi (guitar), Antti Vuorenmaa (keyboards), and Sebastian Krühn (drums). Beyond the new material, the setlist always includes some of Akimof's older classics, such as "Kevät" from Tavaramarkkinat.
