Freeta is a fresh ensemble creating original contemporary folk music with violin, cello, and piano. The trio's repertoire consists of the members' own compositions, where folk music takes on new and sometimes unexpected forms. The ensemble explores the possibilities of piano and string instruments, painting colorful stories through their music.
Verna Kylmänen (piano), Viive Virtanen (5-string violin) and Carolina Stenbäck (5-string cello) guide the listener on an atmospheric journey through diverse landscapes - from Stockholm to Viken and from November memories to the whirl of quadrille and polka.
The ensemble released their debut album Mielenmaisemissa in May 2026.

Mikko Perkola is a musician and composer who performs as a soloist and in various ensembles in Finland and abroad. Composition, improvisation, and electronics form an important part of his music, often combined with other art forms.
Henrik Sandås has performed as a soloist and arranger with numerous symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles. In 2025, he made his soloist debut with BBC Symphony
