Mikko Kuustonen returns to the concert stage with his new band. The first half of the concert features new music from an album to be released in spring, while the second half showcases classic songs including "Angels Fly Into Your Dreams", "Heaven Protects", "Cactus Wine" and "Aurora". Kuustonen has released fourteen solo albums and has received Emma Awards, the Juha Vainio Lyricist Prize, and other accolades.
Tickets are sold online as direct purchases only. Phone reservations have a 2-day booking window. Tickets are exchanged for wristbands from 12:00 at the estate's ticket office, and advance tickets include access to the Laukon Summer art exhibitions from 12:00 to 18:00. Seating consists of unnumbered standing and sitting areas - the concert park has over a thousand informal spaces. Doors to the exhibitions, restaurant, café, shop and terrace open at 12:00. Tickets available at the door if any remain.
People under 18 may only attend with an adult. Children under 6 enter free. Outside drinks are not permitted in the concert park, but picnic blankets and camping chairs are allowed - bring rain gear in wet weather. The estate grounds feature a summer restaurant and café with terrace, and the concert park has licensed terraces serving drinks and light food.
Laukon kartano is located on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi, 40 km south of Tampere. Travel time from Helsinki, Turku and Pori is under 2 hours. The estate has free parking - arrive at least 1 hour before the event starts. Public transport is not available, but concert buses run from various parts of Finland, and ferries operate from Tampere via Hopealinja. For more information, visit the website.
Accessibility: wheelchair users have barrier-free access to the event, and an assistant may enter free with an assistant ticket. The venue has an accessible toilet and wheelchair ramp. The restaurant, café, shop and park are accessible; exhibition spaces are inaccessible due to stairs. Hearing loop is not available.
