Workers' Music Festival 2026

The Workers' Music Festival takes place in Valkeaoski on 23-26 July 2026. The festival is located on the grounds of the UPM Tervasaari paper mill and the Myllysaari museum. The main festival area is open only on Friday and Saturday.

The programme features UMK winners Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, Komiat who won the award for song of the year, Miljoonasade celebrating their 40th anniversary, guitar virtuoso Erja Lyytinen, Antti Paalanen, Emma Award winner Jaakko Kulta, Viikate, and Idols winner Diandra. In addition to music, the programme includes workers' culture, group singing, topical discussion panels, circus arts, children's music, theremin, and dance performances.

Ticket prices increase in stages - it is worth choosing the cheapest category where tickets are still available. Tickets are exchanged for wristbands, and discount cards are checked at the door. Union members' discounted tickets are sold separately.

The VIP ticket includes a tapas table with cheeses, a dedicated bar counter in the VIP tent, coffee and a welcome drink - but no hot food. An assistant receives free entry with the assisted person's ticket. The festival site has wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible toilet facilities, and a wheelchair ramp.
