Workers' Music Festival - A warm festival in the heart of the city 23.-26.7.2026

The Workers' Music Festival draws tens of thousands of people to Valkeakoski in July with its diverse programme. The festival is set in the unique surroundings of the UPM Tervasaari paper mill and the Myllysaari museum grounds. The festival offers a high-quality selection of top artists, alternative music, workers' culture, communal singing, current and social discussion forums, circus arts, children's music, air guitar, and stage dancing.

This year's programme features UMK winners Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, Komiat who won the song of the year award, Miljoonasade celebrating their 40th anniversary, blues queen and guitar virtuoso Erja Lyytinen, folk singer and accordionist Antti Paalanen, Jaakko Kulta who won rock of the year and newcomer of the year, the distinctive and acclaimed Viikate, Idols winner Diandra, and many other top performers!

Note. The festival's large area is open only on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are exchanged for wristbands. Cards entitling to discounts are checked at the door.

Accessibility: An assistant receives free entry together with the person being assisted with the same ticket. The festival is wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible toilet at the festival. There is a wheelchair ramp at the festival.
