Ruissalo Amping + Saaga

Ruissalo Amping is a beautiful music band from Turku. With the slogan "so wonderfully loud, so loudly wonderful," the band presents itself as an embodiment of musical beauty - romantic thunder, shy vocals, and the world's most beautiful instrument, the electric guitar, drenched in echo and roar.

The band is undergoing personnel changes, so it feels natural to ease the transition and play together one more time before the autumn album release and subsequent shows. The world is calling our members, and now we bid farewell to our drummer Tom at the Dubrovnik gig. At the same time, we introduce our new bassist.

Ruissalo Amping released its captivating and acclaimed debut album "Tähtien suojatit Maan povella" in November 2021. In February 2024, the second album "Ruusupuutarha" was released, built on themes of safety and liberation, which included a cover of HIM's "When Love and Death Embrace" titled "Rakkaus kuolemassa elää". The third album "Rihmasto", released in October 2026, again aims to take the band in a new direction with more text-driven and organic works.

The evening opens with Saaga, a songwriter from Tornio, whose music is called "weeping music". Her hallmarks are a whispering vocal interpretation and melancholic lyrics. Saaga's second album "Sydänkohtauksia" was released in spring 2026.
