Arppa and his band are known for energetic and partly improvisation-based concerts and are among today's leading names in Finnish indie. Arppa's music is timeless and his lyrics like moving images - insightful, sincere, and carefully drawn moods move from Ykspihlaja in Kokkola through the night-time Helsinki alongside Laila Kinnunen to illegal spirits trade in July 1958. The band features musicians Ville-Veikko Airaniemi, Eero Seppä, and Okko Saastamoinen. Arppa released his self-published debut album Laavalamppuja in August 2020, the second album Kinovalon alla in September 2021 (the first pressing of the LP sold out in three weeks), the third album Valeria in 2023, and the fourth Muovipussi kummittelee in 2024 - both through Johanna Publishing. The fifth album Peppuni kanssa was released self-published in September 2025.
Nössö Nova is a band founded in 2022 by four friends, whose Finnish-language pop draws inspiration from distant rhythms and everyday snapshots. Their second album Pitäis ja pitäis came out in September 2025.
Accessibility: the courtyard area is accessible, and there is a disabled toilet with a ramp indoors. An assistant gets free entry with the assisted person's ticket. There is no hearing loop. Those using wheelchairs should contact in advance: info@pyhtaankulttuuritalo.fi
