Invasive Species Work Day at Vartiosaari

The Helsinki Nature Conservation Society and the City of Helsinki organize a joint work day at Vartiosaari to combat giant hogweed.

Bring your own gardening gloves (if you have them), weather-appropriate clothing, terrain-suitable footwear, and drinking water. The City of Helsinki provides light refreshments and ferry tickets for participants.

Meeting point is at Reposalmen pier at the end of Reposalmentie. Take bus 89 to the Koulutanhuan stop, from where it is a 750-meter walk to the pier. Travel to Vartiosaari by Aurinkolautta ferry.
