Handel - Arias / Helsinki

Conductor Janne Nisonen leads a concert at Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki on Saturday, 14 November at 19:00. Countertenor Maarten Engeltjes performs Handel arias, with the programme also featuring Handel's Concerto grosso in A major op. 6 no. 11, Clara Iannotta's dead wasps in the jam-jar (ii), and Bernard Herrmann's Sinfonietta. The concert is one of three Finnish dates on Nisonen's tour, which also includes stops in Lohja and Kokkola. Temppeliaukio Church is an architecturally distinctive building carved into rock in central Helsinki. Tickets cost 5-32 euros.
