Sirkus Kolmen Kopla: AikaKONE - Helsinki Circus Festival

AikaKONE is a trio acrobatic circus performance by Sirkus Kolmen Kopla, where time stretches, snaps, and undergoes pipe renovation. The audience participates in an interactive adventure: the performance space features strange pipes, and through the audience's insights, something unexpected emerges. Through circus tricks, new ways of playing with time are revealed.

Performance and concept: Anni Pietala, Nelma Pietala, Leena Kaizer. Sound design: Joni Rajamäki. In the trio, the artists are known by the names NAPPI, RUSETTI and HENKSELI. AikaKONE premiered at Lahti's Children's Winter Carnival in February 2024.

AikaKONE is presented as part of Helsinki Circus Festival, held at Stoa in September 2026 for the first time. The four-day festival programme features the works Maannos, Aikakone, Kajo and Häppy Hour - spanning performance, comedy, art circus, new magic and children's shows. The festival is produced by Pro Sirkus ry in collaboration with Cirko - Centre for New Circus, Kulttuurikeskus Stoa and Kulttuurikeskus Caisa. In addition to performances, circus can be seen in a circus tent rising on the Suvilahti field and in the surrounding streets. A pre-festival event is held on Helsinki Day, 12.6., at the Kulttuurikeskus Stoa plaza.
