Soul Queen LaGaylia Frazier and Helsinki Police Orchestra - conducted by Sami Ruusuvuori

LaGaylia Frazier (USA/SWE) performs as a soloist with the Helsinki Police Orchestra in concerts that also mark the 100th anniversary celebration of the Central Criminal Police. Conductor is Chief Conductor Sami Ruusuvuori.

Frazier gained international recognition from Florida's Latino-pop scene and the band Coconuts. Her voice is heard on Gloria Estefan's album Kiss Me and in the film The Specialist soundtrack on the track "Shower Me With Your Love". After moving to Sweden, she has performed regularly at Princess Victoria's birthday concerts and visited the police orchestra as a soloist several times in recent years.

The programme features music from Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Tina Turner, Gloria Gaynor, The Beatles and Aretha Franklin - as well as orchestral music from a symphonic wind orchestra.
