Bach in Finland: pianist Risto-Matti Marin

Pianist and music doctor Risto-Matti Marin performs Finnish romantic Bach piano adaptations in the Angelicum hall in Kronohaka, Helsinki on Sunday 27.9.2026. The programme features adaptations created by Erkki Melartin, Taneli Kuusisto, Ilmari Hannikainen and Karl Ekman around a hundred years ago.

The concert begins with an introduction at 15.30: Taneli Kuusisto's daughter, music and culture influencer Tuulikki Närhinsalo discusses her father's compositional and adaptation work and his relationship with Bach. The main concert starts at 16.00 and ends around 17.00.

Tickets cost 30 € and are available from Bileto and at the door. Note: Angelicum hall is accessible by a small lift, but a few steps lead to the lift.
