Katja Lundén Company: WHAT IS LOVE (baby don't hurt me)?

WHAT IS LOVE is a danced exploration of ancient conceptions of love - its essence and core. What is at stake when we love and fall in love? Who and what is Eros? What is desire?

The work engages with the philosophical dimension of love: why love is a primordial force, and what might be its foundation and ultimate aim. Love is a flattened and inflation-worn concept, in whose name anything can easily be sold - the performance seeks to move beyond it. The language of the performance is dance, movement, music, singing, sound, speech and silence.
