Daniel Lanois is a Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer who first gained wide attention in the 1980s through his ambient collaborations with Brian Eno, culminating in Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks (1983). He has produced landmark albums for U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel and Emmylou Harris, among others. His solo career spans more than fourteen albums, and he has won seven Grammy Awards.
