Jukka Haavisto is a Tampere-based bassist, composer and bandleader who leads the quartet Löyly Syndicate. His fretless electric bass - where melody, harmony and rhythm converge in a single voice - anchors a sound that draws on Finno-Ugric melodic roots, Nordic jazz and electric fusion. He holds a master's degree in Performing Music and Jazz Improvisation from the University of Stavanger (2016). The debut album Reflections (Eclipse Music, 2022) earned strong international reviews, and the follow-up Juniper Path is due in October 2026.

Juniper Path is scheduled for release on 16 October 2026, followed by a full-album concert at G Livelab Tampere on 22 October.
The first single from Juniper Path, 'Echoes on the Path', was made available for exclusive advance listening on the Lingonperry streaming platform.
Haavisto's international career and album production received a grant from the Alfred Kordelin Foundation, marking a new international phase for the band.
