The Pineapple Thief is a British progressive rock band founded in 1999 by singer-guitarist Bruce Soord in Yeovil, Somerset. The quartet - Soord alongside bassist Jon Sykes, keyboardist Steve Kitch, and drummer Gavin Harrison (King Crimson, Porcupine Tree) - has released 16 studio albums, building a devoted following across Europe with a sound that blends melodic art rock and progressive textures with a distinctly melancholic edge. Their 2024 album *It Leads to This* topped the UK Rock & Metal Chart, and in April 2026 the band signed with InsideOut Music ahead of a new album due later that year.
