About

Soen is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in 2010, built around drummer Martin Lopez (ex-Opeth) and vocalist Joel Ekelöf. Over seven studio albums - from the debut Cognitive (2012) to Reliance (2026) - they have carved out a sound that weaves intricate rhythms and melancholic melodies into a distinctly human kind of heavy music. The current lineup also includes guitarist Cody Ford, keyboardist Lars Åhlund and bassist Stefan Stenberg.
