Glimpses of Light and Hope

In summer 2026, an exhibition about the history of Suomenlinna Church opens on the church grounds and indoors. The exhibition covers the church's development from the 1700s to the present day - from a prison chapel to an air-surveillance tower, warships and wedding celebrations, and finally a lighthouse both literally and figuratively. The collection includes photographs and documents, some of which have never been seen before.

The historical route can be explored independently. QR codes offer additional content for deeper exploration, and basic information is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English - via QR codes also in many other languages. For children, hidden QR codes along the route reveal colorful images and animations.
