Summer Super-Ysärit: Maxx (GER), Technotronic (BEL), Waldo's People, DJ Tee

Summer Super-Ysärit is a new summer festival coming to Kuopio in 2026. The event takes place on Friday, July 31st at the idyllic Väinölänniemi beach.

The festival features world-class eurodance acts: Maxx from Germany, Technotronic from Belgium, and the Finnish band Waldo's People. Maxx is a German eurodance group that rose to prominence in the mid-1990s, known for hits like "Get-A-Way" and "No More (I Can't Stand It)". Their most popular song "Get a Way" has been streamed over 170 million times on YouTube.

Technotronic is a Belgian electronic music group whose greatest success came in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their breakthrough hit "Pump Up the Jam" was released in 1988 and topped charts in many countries. Waldo's People is a Finnish eurodance group founded in 1998, fronted by rapper and singer Waldo (Marko Reijonen). The band is known for its energetic sound and hits such as "U Drive Me Crazy". They represented Finland at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Lose Control".

DJ Tee rounds out the lineup. Ticket prices are very affordable despite the world-class artists and festival setting.
