Saarijärvi's first collaborative jazz club with Jazz Jkl ry presents the Jyväskylä-based Jazz Jkl Collective with singer Nina Mya as soloist. The evening's programme draws from music and stories of the female voices that have strongly influenced Mya - classics by Carmen McRae, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday and Laila Kinnunen, presented alongside narratives of their struggles and triumphs in life and love.

Nina Mya (born 1989) has established herself in Finland's music scene as both a bandleader and guest soloist. Her expression is rooted in jazz but draws inspiration from soul and gospel. Mya was chosen as Pori Jazz Artist of the Year in 2012 and has released four solo albums as well as one album in collaboration with UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra.

Jazz Jkl Collective is a jazz quartet founded in 2018: guitarist Tuomas Paukku, Grammy-winning pianist Marian Petrescu, bassist Petri Jaakonaho and drummer Kasper Halttunen. Jazz Jkl ry, established in 2017, organizes jazz clubs in Jyväskylä and regularly in Hankasalmi, Keuruu, Konnevesi, Petäjävesi and Viitasaari - and now also in Saarijärvi with support from the Finnish Cultural Foundation's Central Finland fund and the city.
