In Saarijärvi on Tuesday, September 15, Jazz Jkl Collective takes the stage at Saarijärvi-sali with vocalist Nina Mya. The evening's program draws from the music and stories of influential female voices - classics by Carmen McRae, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, and Laila Kinnunen, woven together with narratives about these legendary singers and their impact. This is one of five Finnish dates for Nina Mya, with further concerts following in Jyväskylä, Hankasalmi, Keuruu, and Konnevesi over the coming days. The city of Saarijärvi and Jazz Jkl association are hosting their first collaborative club evening, bringing the jazz tradition to the local community through this Jyväskylä-based ensemble.
