Haaga Art Society - ABANDONED - Photographs by Helena Blomqvist

Helena Blomqvist is a Helsinki-based photographer, a member of the Helsinki Camera Society since 2013, and trained in styling and visual design. She is also a member of the Haaga Art Society.

The exhibition ABANDONED tells the story of a wooden boat left on the Kaisaniemi shore, which Blomqvist photographed between 2022 and 2024. By 2025, the boat had disappeared.

Who owned the boat? Why was it left in a busy location for all to see, even though few noticed it? The exhibition asks why we abandon each other and things - and why we forget what was once important.

The works are displayed in the café's display cases. Free admission.
