Ode to Entrepreneurship

Ode to Entrepreneurship is a joint photography exhibition by UKKO.fin and photographer Janita Autio, featuring 16 entrepreneurs from different parts of Finland, from various industries and at different life stages, presenting themselves at their own workplaces. Each of them has also chosen a single word to describe themselves as an entrepreneur, and that word appears in the work.

The exhibition highlights what statistics rarely capture: Finland has over 600,000 businesses, of which 96 percent are micro-enterprises and 72 percent are run by self-employed individuals. The exhibition reminds us that alongside cautionary tales, we also need inspiring stories about entrepreneurship.
