Liikkeellä in November - Katerina Andreou & Mélissa Guex: SHOUT TWICE

SHOUT TWICE is a collaborative work by Katerina Andreou and Mélissa Guex, in which shouting becomes a tool for change. The performance explores the raw power of emotions, collective resonance, and the fusion of movement, sound, and space. The work builds on concert dramaturgy to create a fragmentary whole, where a shout is not merely a release but transforms into a force of joy, playfulness, and persistence.

The work is part of the Liikkeellä in November festival, running 5-15.11.2026. As part of the festival, Andreou and Guex will hold a conversation with a local artist at the open Soup Talks event on 8.11 at 12:00 at Caisa.

Katerina Andreou was born in Athens and works in France. She studied at the Athens National Dance Conservatory, completed the ESSAIS programme at CNDC - Angers, and earned her master's degree in choreographic research from Université Paris 8. As a performer, she has collaborated with DD Dorvillier, Anne Lise Le Gac, Bryan Campbell, Dinis Machado, Emmanuelle Huynh, and Ana Rita Teodoro, among others. She received the Jardin d'Europe award at the ImPulsTanz festival in Vienna in 2016 for her work A kind of fierce. Later works include BSTRD (2018), Zeppelin Bend (2021), and Bless This Mess (2024). In 2025, she created How Romantic for Norway's national dance company Carte Blanche and We Need Silence for the Lyon Opera Ballet. She is a collaborating artist with Maison de la Danse / Biennale de la Danse de Lyon and Centre National de la Danse, and from 2027 onwards a collaborating artist with PÔLE-SUD CDCN Strasbourg.

Mélissa Guex is a dancer, performer, and choreographer. She studied performing arts in Brussels and earned her bachelor's degree in contemporary dance from La Manufactura in Lausanne. She was a collaborating artist with Théâtre Sévelin in Lausanne for four years, during which she created the improvisation format De ceux - Episode and the solo work Sous sol. She has worked with choreographers Géraldine Chollet, Anna Marija Andomaitis, Augustin Rebetez, and Katerina Andreou.
