Before the Dawn is a Finnish melodic death/gothic metal band founded by vocalist and guitarist Tuomas Saukkonen in 1999. Known for a dark, atmospheric sound, the band released albums such as "Deadlight" and "Rise of the Phoenix" before Saukkonen disbanded the project in 2013 and later revived it.
