Bloodred Hourglass (BRHG) is a melodic death metal band from Mikkeli, Finland, active since 2005. Across seven studio albums - from their Spinefarm debut Lifebound (2012) to We Should Be Buried Like This (2025) - they have built a devoted international following by weaving thrash and groove metal ferocity together with metalcore and electronic textures. Their 2025 album debuted at #2 on the Finnish charts and earned the band a nomination for Vuoden Metalli at the Emma Gaala 2026.
Bloodred Hourglass released the EP 'After the Burial' in June 2026, featuring blues/rock guitarist Erja Lyytinen and live recordings with the Mikkeli City Orchestra, closing out the We Should Be Buried Like This album cycle.
BRHG were nominated for Vuoden Metalli (Metal of the Year) at the Emma Gaala 2026, alongside Amorphis, Battle Beast and Havukruunu.
