Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1989 and one of the architects of the so-called Gothenburg sound alongside In Flames and At the Gates. Over thirteen studio albums - from the debut Skydancer (1993) to Endtime Signals (2024) - the band has built a signature style that weaves heavy riffing, synthesizers and Mikael Stanne's expressive vocals into a coherent whole. Their 2020 album Moment earned them a Swedish Grammis award, and Atoma (2016) reached No. 2 on the Swedish charts.
Dark Tranquillity announced a fall 2025 European headlining tour with Soen, Equilibrium and Iotunn as support, spanning cities from Cologne to Stockholm.
The band announced a spring 2025 European tour leg with Moonspell and Hiraes, kicking off in Turku, Finland on April 8 and ending in Aarhus, Denmark on May 14.
