Noumena is a Finnish melodic death metal band from Ähtäri, founded in 1998 and still running with largely the same lineup. Over six studio albums - from the debut Pride/Fall (2002) to Anima (2020) - they have built a sound that weaves growling and clean vocals together with melancholic Finnish melodies, drawing on both 90s Scandinavian death metal and folk influences. Their seventh album Maanääri is set for release on 21 August 2026, backed by a 9-date China tour.
